Michael Caputi
Michael Caputi was the CEO of Epoxytec, prior to Tnemec’s acquisition in 2021, and has been involved in coatings since 2001. Michael was the co-chair of the NACE Section S. Florida, and holds an AMPP coating inspector title, and also a SSPC certification for concrete coating inspection. More recently, Michael together with Epoxytec and Tnemec has been focusing his experience with trenchless technology to solve applied lining needs for collection systems to abate I/I, especially targeting manholes and lift stations. Michael participates in Epoxytec’s technical authoring, and with committees involving coating design, rehab methods, and structural lining designs. Michael also participates in the company’s R&D efforts as a bridge between chemists and the field.

Vaughn O’Dea
Vaughn began his career at Tnemec in 2002 served as a Senior Technical Service Representative specializing in epoxy technology development, failure analyses, specification review and internal and external technical development. Vaughn transferred to Tnemec’s sales department in 2005, and after seventeen years as the Director of Sales for the Water and Wastewater market for Tnemec Company, Inc., Vaughn O’Dea was promoted in 2022 to Director of Epoxytec where he manages all facets of sales, marketing, technical support, and growth of the Epoxytec brand. Vaughn has authored numerous technical reports and articles for publications such as the Journal of Protective Coatings and Linings (JPCL), Materials Performance, Public Works Magazine, Concrete Repair Bulletin, Inspect This!, Concrete Surface, Trenchless Technology and WaterWorld. He is a SSPC Protective Coatings Specialist, a NACE-Certified Coatings Inspector, and a NACE Certified Corrosion Technician, and a NASSCO Manhole Rehab Inspector. Since 2009, Vaughn has been a contributing editor for the Journal of Protective Coatings and Linings (JPCL). He was the recipient of the JPCL Editors’ Award in 2009, 2011 and 2012, JPCL’s The Clive Hare Honor: Top Thinkers Award in 2012, SSPC’s 2013 Outstanding Publication Award, and JPCL’s Readers’ Choice Award in 2020.

Matt Wierzchowski
In this role, Wierzchowski will lead Epoxytec efforts in municipal sewer and water infrastructure, focusing on manhole rehabilitation, underground pipelines, and other critical wastewater collection applications.
Wierzchowski brings over 34 years of expertise in the protective coatings industry, with a specialized focus on water and wastewater infrastructure. In his new role, he will leverage his extensive field experience and technical knowledge to support municipal clients, advance Tnemec and Epoxytec underground infrastructure initiatives, and further develop Epoxytec solutions for critical collection systems.

Matt holds multiple industry credentials, including PCS, AMPP Senior Certified Coatings Inspector (#36046), and AMPP/SSPC Certified Concrete Coating Inspector (#67370). Throughout his career, he has been recognized as a subject matter expert and thought leader in the water and wastewater sector, regularly engaging with industry professionals, end users, and municipal clients to promote best practices and innovative coating solutions.

Ross Davidson
Originally a biology major, Ross Davidson found his scientific passion in the realm of chemistry and additionally pursued a second degree, with an emphasis on biochemistry. Working for Epoxytec, Ross soon discovered another one of his passions: manufacturing. “Working in the coatings industry has provided me a wealth of knowledge in GMP and GLP, supply chain management, equipment mechanics, and leadership. My time with Epoxytec has been phenomenal and has provided me with the opportunity to do great things outside of work, such as get married and start a family, which has in turn inspired me to redouble my professional efforts. Other passions include, the Expanse book series and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which have taught me the value of hard work and perseverance, as well as what it means to truly be a team.”
