A Perfect Mix Makes All the Difference
Every high-performing lining application begins with one essential step: a proper mix. The quality of your mix directly influences workability, adhesion, cure, and the structural performance of the system. Even a great product won’t reach its full potential if it isn’t mixed correctly.
Mixing isn’t just a preliminary task — it’s a critical control point that determines how well the liner will handle vertical surfaces, overhead placements, cold or humid conditions, and the demands of real-world environments. When done correctly, the material achieves the smooth consistency, uniform blend, and predictable cure profile it was engineered to deliver.
The Product Data Sheet (PDS) should drive every mixing decision.
Ratios, mixing time, mixing speed, and equipment recommendations are not suggestions — they’re engineered requirements designed to ensure performance in the field. Referencing the PDS before and during mixing is the most reliable way to achieve consistency across projects and crews.
Seen here: CPP Trowel-Liner coming to life — a structural-grade epoxy that builds up to ½” (500 mils) per pass on vertical and overhead surfaces without sag. When mixed properly, its creamy, uniform texture makes placement efficient and predictable, allowing applicators to focus on coverage and thickness rather than fighting the material.
Watch the video to see the process in action — and remember, performance starts with the mix. If the mix is right, the application follows.
