Miramar Beach Manhole Rehabilitation
The rehabilitation of the Miramar Beach manhole in Florida, completed on February 2025, involved the application of Epoxytec’s Series 451 CPP Sprayliner MH. Walton County served as the project owner, with Walton County engineers and GCU from Theodore, Alabama, as the field applicator. The work took place in a sanitary sewer manhole, with surface preparation conducted in accordance with SSPC SP13/NACE No. 6 standards.
A key challenge during this project was the tight timeline, dictated by the need to temporarily take a forced main service offline for the work. In addition, equipment had to be staged in the turning lane of a busy highway, adding complexity to the project logistics.
Despite these hurdles, the project was completed on time, with 12 gallons of Series 451 applied using both trowel and spray methods. The team’s effective coordination ensured the rehabilitation was executed with minimal disruption to the critical infrastructure. This project underscores the reliability and performance of Epoxytec’s products in demanding, time-sensitive environments.
