Epoxytec 17G™ is recommended to combat wear and corrosion. Great for most industrial applications such as large aggregate transportation, solid waste tipping/transfer floors, heavy equipment areas, processing plants, etc.
The success of any coating application is directly proportional to the completeness of the substrate preparation and the care the application crew puts into the application. Surface must be clean and sound. Remove all dust, contaminants, grease, curing compounds, rust, impregnation, waxes, foreign particles, and disintegrated materials from the surface, in order to achieve a clean and profiled surface.
Concrete: Prepare the concrete by abrasive blasting, high pressure water cleaning (>5000 psi), and/or approved mechanical methods to meet the standards of SSPC ‐ SP 13/NACE No. 6. “Surface Preparation of Concrete.” Consider the use of an Epoxytec primer to eliminate off – gassing.
Epoxytec 17G™ is a 3 ‐ component slurry grout consistency often used to pour and spread.
Epoxytec 17G™ can be a single coat or a multiple coat system. 17G™ can be applied onto a surface at 1/2” (minimum) ‐12” (maximum) per coat. For a total coating thickness exceeding 12”, multiple coats are necessary.

Epoxytec 17G™ is a 100% solid epoxy, designed as a 3-component, slurry-grade, high media filled polymer for topping or cladding. The 17G™ system is formulated to provide a high build, sealed, protective and abrasion resistant epoxy slab for wear areas requiring sealed protection.
The 17G™ technology is unique and proprietary, ultra-dense with excellent tolerances and durable properties. 17G™ is formulated “green,” environmentally friendly, 100% solid (no VOCs, no solvent). The 17G™ system is easy-to-apply trowel. 17G™ is able to be applied high build. For long-term maintainability, the 17G™ system ties back into itself indefinitely with no need for re-blasting or abrasion.
