Epoxy paste, for concrete repair in chemical secondary containment tank
August 5th, 2009
Epoxytec was requested by Allied Universal Chemical, a chemical distributor and manufacturer of specialty chemical and hydrocarbon blends, to repair a section of concrete spalls and cracks.
Epoxytec needed to recommend a material with high surface tolerance, being that abrasive blasting could not be utilized for this section.
The spall presented a challenge – it was deep, under-prepared, and exposed to concentrate chemicals.

Epoxytec CPP was utilized for it’s high level of compressive strength and density (16,000psi), it’s ultra-forgiveness to questionable surfaces, and it’s 100% solid epoxy durability and resistance.
The CPP, once applied and cured seals and protects the substrate. This was applied in one pass at about 1/2″ thickness tapering out to around 1/16″ on the edges.
